Most first-time importers write “send your catalogue.” We send a 70 HP 4WD instead. That is the JT-704 class: enough hitch for a 3-furrow plough or a 1.8 m rotary tiller, enough chassis for a front loader, not so large that a 40HQ becomes a puzzle.
What the 704 actually is
Industry shorthand: 70 horsepower, four-wheel drive. Dual-stage clutch is typical. PTO 540/1000. Category II three-point. ROPS as standard, cab as a priced option. FOB China for this class sits around $12,500–$18,000 depending on cab, tyres, and loader kit.
When to go smaller
Orchard rows, estate yards, and plots under about 5 ha usually want 25–50 HP. That is the JT-254 or JT-404D. A 70 HP machine in a 1.2 m alley is a mistake you pay freight on twice.
When to go larger
A wide disc, a big trailer, and all-day tillage belong on the JT-904 or JT-1204. Do not buy 220 HP because the brochure looks heavier. Send a photo of the implement you already own.
