FOB China is the tractor loaded at the Chinese port. CIF adds ocean freight and insurance to Mombasa, Lagos / Apapa, Manila, or Jebel Ali. It does not pay duty, VAT, or the truck from the port to the farm.
On a CIF quote we name
- The model and options (cab, tyres, loader, certificate)
- Ocean (usually 40HQ for cab units; compact can share a box)
- Insurance, typically 110% of invoice value
What you still pay
Duty, clearing, storage, and inland transport. Transit after sailing is commonly 25–40 days to East or West Africa. Factory video of your serial sits in front of that clock, after deposit.
